This beautiful pair of early Classic Art Deco armchairs by Leon Jallot were created in sculpted French walnut, circa 1912. Leon Jallot's career began as the cabinetmaking foreman for l'Art Nouveau Bing - the shop in Paris that gave the Art Nouveau period its name. Jallot was one of the few early 20th Century French designers who was also a trained woodworker. When l'Art Nouveau Bing closed a few years after the turn of the 20th Century, Jallot went out on his own and enjoyed a continued long, productive career. He also collaborated for a number of years with his son, renowned 1930s and 40s designer, Maurice Jallot. These chairs are 22" wide x 23" deep x 34" high.

PLEASE NOTE THESE CHAIRS ARE UNRESTORED IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS.
